Relive the 2024 YCL Exhibition

Young Creators League 2024 was held on 26 January 2024 at Plaksha University, Mohali. Over 500 students submitted their projects based on UN SDGs problem statements and Top 46 Teams has exhibited their prototype based on the solution that makes a significant impact to their surroundings. Last year we witnessed 150 school students from 17 states across India.

Young Creators League is platform that gives high school students an opportunity to convert their ideas into such solutions that brings a positive change to their immediate surroundings. It is an initiative by Plaksha University that lets students take charge and address local problems.

Join us for YCL 2025 as we revisit the stories and the experiences that shaped our last year into an unforgettable chapter of YCL. We look forward to creating many more unforgettable moments together in the years to come.

YCL Alumni Success Story

EpiAlert is a device to detect when an Epileptic patient gets a seizure and immediately send an alert to the caregiver.

Epileptic seizures involve loss of consciousness and uncontrollable, jerky movements of the arm. They happen without any prior warning and often happen at night. If unnoticed, a seizure can cause permanent neurological damage.

The device consists of two parts:

1. A wearable wristband worn by the Epileptic patient that consists of an Arduino nano microprocessor and an accelerometer sensor, which detects movements of the arm that happen during an Epileptic seizure using Machine Learning

2. A mobile phone app installed on the caregiver’s phone that gets connected to the wristband via Bluetooth and sounds an alarm when a seizure is detected by the wristband.

This device allows Epileptic patients and their families to live without the fear of a seizure going unnoticed as the caregiver is immediately alerted.
